SoSoft Mediums & Specialty Paints:
Color Resist - Color Resist works as a masking medium for fabric painting projects. Use Color Resist where you do not want paint on your projects. Removing the mask will allow the color of the fabric or basecoat to show through a design created by Color Resist.
Pearl Medium - Use with SoSoft Fabric Acrylics to make pearl fabric paints. Mix equal parts of medium and paint.
Transparent Medium - A medium to turn opaque colors of So-Soft Fabric Acrylics and Shimmering Pearls into a transparent fabric paint. Very effective when working with iron-on and shaded transfers.
Ultra White - Ultra White is a super white basecoat paint for painting on dark fabrics. It enhances the brightness and true colors of the top coat.
Glittering Topcoat - This acrylic top coat is easy to apply with a brush or sponge, and dries crystal clear, leaving a soft shimmer as it catches and reflects the light. It may be applied over SoSoft Fabric Acrylics or directly onto fabric.

Color Resist - Before application, stretch over a hoop frame for best results. This allows the resist to penetrate the fabric and leaves clean lines. The yellow color lets you see where you are placing the resist on your projects. It will wash out when you wash out the Color Resist. Apply So-Soft acrylic paint when Color Resist is dry to the touch. After you have painted the SoSoft acrylic paint over the Color Resist, allow it to cure for 48 hours and follow the washing instructions on the paint label. Do not hand wash to remove the Color Resist. This may also remove the paint. If the Color Resist does not wash out completely, removing all the paint that covered it, increase the water temperature and wash again. Loose pieces of paint clinging to the fabric can be removed by gently rubbing with a fingernail. Pearl Medium - Do not scrub paint into fabric fibers. Paint lies on top of the fabric for a few minutes to allow adequate blending time. After mixing, use as you would Shimmering Pearls. Transparent Medium - May be pre-mixed with paint on the palette before painting or picked up on a brush with the paint. For stronger lines or to add detail to the design, use a permanent fine point pen before applying the medium and paint mixture. Ultra White - Apply paint when the Undercoat White is dry to the touch. Follow the washing and drying instructions for the SoSoft paint used over the Undercoat White. |
