Bone Appetit Tray

Serve those snacks at your Halloween party on this tray, spookily decorated with Americana Gloss Enamels.

  • DAG235 - Citron Green

    Americana Brushes
  • DBL1000-B - Liner #0
  • DBF2575-B - Flat 3/4"
  • DBF3008-B - Shader #8
  • DBF3010-B - Shader #10
  • DBF7004-B - White Bristle Flat #4

  •     Supplies
        Surfaces
  • Foam plate
  • 1/4" and 3/4" round foam pouncer brushes
  • Three 1 1/2" unfinished wood doll head/knobs
  • E6000 industrial strength glue
  • Unfinished wood tray (We used Hobby Lobby, item #130559 S.)

  •     Instructions
    Preparation: Remove all stickers or labels from surface before painting.

    1. Use flat brush and Tuscan Red to paint bottom of tray; let dry after each coat.
    2. Use flat and #10 shader brushes with Black to paint sides and bottom of tray; let dry.
    3. Use #10 shader brush to paint three doll head/knob pieces White. Let dry after each coat.
    4. Use 3/4" pouncer brush dipped in Citron Green to paint iris on White eyeballs (with different angle on each). Let dry.
    5. Use 1/4" pouncer brush and Black to paint pupil of each eye on center of Citron Green circle; let dry.
    6. Use liner brush and Tuscan Red to paint alternating straight and wavy lines along edge of iris and let dry.
    7. Refer to photo for placement and glue eyeballs to tray.
    8. Use white bristle flat brush and White to paint random 1/2" lines for bones; use 1/4" pouncer dipped in White to dot each end of lines twice; let dry.
    9. Use white bristle flat brush and Black to paint words on tray; let dry.
