  •     Instructions
    PREPARATION
    1. Wash bricks with warm soapy water and let dry.

    2. Sand roof, if necessary, and seal with Americana Matte Spray.

    FLORIST BRICK
    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Basecoat brick and gable ends with Deep Burgundy, roof with Lamp Black and chimney with Neutral Grey. Randomly place Antique Mauve bricks on brick and gables.

    2. Transfer major pattern lines.

    3. Basecoat windows Lamp Black; cement area above two high windows, and steps Neutral Grey; sign, door, window boxes, trim at shop window and circle window Desert Sand; ends of Florist sign Light Cinnamon; and awning Hauser Dark Green .

    4. Shade across top of awning Black Green; around windows, door, sign and awning Antique Maroon; left side of brown ends of sign Burnt Umber; left side and across top of sign, left side of door, left side of trim on picture window, and bottoms of window boxes Light Cinnamon; and across top of cement area at top of windows Lamp Black.

    5. Highlight across bottom of cement area at top of window Slate Grey and across bottom of awning Jade Green.

    6. Use Hauser Light Green, Hauser Medium Green and Hauser Dark Green to stipple topiary tree. Add stem of Hauser Dark Green.

    7. Basecoat flower pot and topiary pot Burnt Orange.

    8. Use liner to make three bundles of Medium Hauser Green stems for bunches of flowers.

    9. Basecoat top of birdhouse Burnt Orange, bottom Cool Neutral, pole Light Cinnamon; shade left side Burnt Umber and add Lamp Black hole.

    10. Double load Dioxazine Purple and Titanium White and with very small strokes, add blossoms to first stems, Boysenberry Pink and white to second stems and Antique Gold dots to third stems. Add Antique Gold doorknob.

    11. Pounce in flower pot greenery with three Hauser greens. Add blossoms of Antique Gold; shade left side of foliage with Hauser Dark Green.

    12. Paint vine around birdhouse pole with Medium Hauser Green, heart in door window Antique Mauve, shade left side of hearts Antique Maroon and highlight right side of hearts white.

    13. Stipple window box greenery with three Hauser greens. Add blossoms of Boysenberry Pink, Dioxazine Purple and Antique Gold; add touches of white.

    14. Float curtains at top windows and add panes to all windows with white.

    15. Basecoat oval on awning Cool Neutral; shade top with Light Cinnamon; highlight bottom with white. Add Desert Sand strokes at each end of sign.

    16. Shade steps Lamp Black.

    17. Add wavy line around sign with Dark Hauser Green. Do lettering, X's at ends of sign. Outline with Lamp Black.

    18. Add thin white slash lines to windows.

    19. With Slate Grey, float shingles vertically on roof and basecoat chimney stones. Shade left side of stones with Neutral Grey and touch of Lamp Black, highlight right sides with white; add Antique Mauve tints randomly.

    ANTIQUE BRICKS
    1. Basecoat brick, ends of gables and chimney with Deep Burgundy. Let dry. Randomly apply Antique Mauve bricks.

    2. Transfer major pattern lines.

    3. Basecoat wood above and under windows, clock and tables in windows Light Cinnamon; windows, roof and railing above sign Lamp Black; sign area, lamp shade, vase and awning Buttermilk; welcome mat Slate Grey; and lamp base French Grey Blue.

    4. Add pattern lines to awnings and paint stripes French Grey Blue.

    5. For clock, basecoat two rectangles with Raw Umber, face with Buttermilk, pendulum Light Cinnamon highlighted on left side with Raw Sienna, knobs at top Light Cinnamon and hands Lamp Black.

    6. Add Raw Sienna highlight on right side of each table. Add French Grey Blue squiggles to vase and lines to lamp shade.

    7. Paint quilt Buttermilk; add schoolhouse and outline quilt with Red Iron Oxide.

    8. With Raw Umber, basecoat large rectangles on either side of sign and door handle, use side loaded brush to make vertical boards under windows; and shade sides of awning, around side and area going back to door along floor.

    9. Shade top of awning Uniform Blue; highlight and outline scalloped edges white.

    10. Shade around windows Antique Maroon.

    11. With white, outline door, windows in shop, woodwork above windows, large rectangles, high curved windows and add thin slash marks to windows.

    12. Do lettering and outline mat with Lamp Black. Outline sign with Raw Umber. Shade left end of sign with Light Cinnamon.

    13. Pounce greenery with Hauser Medium Green, then Hauser Dark Green, then Black Green and then Hauser Light Green. Add `C' stroke 5-petal flowers with Gooseberry Pink and Deep Burgundy; mix each with white for some flowers. Add touches of white.

    14. Shade around bottom of brick with Raw Umber and float shingles with Slate Grey.

    FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Glue roof to brick.

    2. Spray with Americana Matte Spray.
