  • DCP04 - Pine Green

  • DCP45 - Light Sage Green

  • Candle Painting Medium

  •     Supplies
        Surfaces
  • Brushes - by Loew-Cornell or Royal - #4, 6, 10 Flat Shaders; #1 Round Detail Liner
  • Supplies - Brush basin, paper towels, plastic plate or palette pad, rubbing alcohol, tracing & transfer paper, stylus
  • 6" & 8" Terra Cotta Pots by Ritter or Ceramo
  • 1-6" & 3-9" Terra Cotta Saucers by Ritter or Ceramo
  • 8" Tall Round Candle by Candle-Lite

  •     Instructions
    PREPARATION - Clean candle with rubbing alcohol; dry with paper towel.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Use #10 brush to basecoat sides of pots and saucers with Cloud White and sides of candles with 1:1 mix of Cloud White and Candle Painting Medium.

    2. Use #4 brush to paint Buttercup Yellow stripes spaced about 1-1/2" apart on the candle and terra cotta pot sides.

    3. Use #6 brush to paint rims of pots (refer to photo) and #1 liner brush to paint Hydrangea Blue lines along sides of Buttercup Yellow stripes. Paint top edges of rims with Chive Green.

    4. Use the #4 brush to lightly paint Buttercup Yellow and Hydrangea Blue diagonal "swish" strokes on the white areas of saucers and rims and white "swish" strokes on the blue rims. (Refer to photo).

    5. Transfer rose and leaf pattern onto the front of pots and candle.

    6. Use #4 brush to basecoat leaves with Light Sage Green, shade and outline with Pine Green.

    7. Basecoat roses with a double loaded #6 brush of Peach Blossom and Red Pepper.

    8. Use the #1 liner to paint the swirl Cloud White lines on roses to define shape.

    9. Use a stylus to place small clusters of three Hydrangea Blue dots on the sides of pots and candle.
