  • Brushes - Silver Brush Ltd. Golden Natural - #2, #4 & #8 Round; #8, #10 & #12 Bright; #0/0 & #18/0 Liners; 3/8" & 1/2" Angular
  • Supplies - Waxed paper palette, paper towels, black & white graphite paper, tracing paper, pencil, stylus, scotch tape, sanding paper or pad

  •     Instructions
    PREPARATION
    1. Sand wood until smooth.

    2. Apply pattern using black graphite paper.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Use #12 bright brush to basecoat kitty with Lamp Black.

    2. Use #2 round brush to basecoat kitty's eyes, inner ears, nose and mouth with Titanium White.

    3. Basecoat pumpkin with Pumpkin using #10 bright brush.

    4. Use #8 bright, #4 round and #8 round brushes to basecoat some leaves Forest Green, some with Black Forest Green and rest with Arbor Green. See pattern for placement of colors.

    5. Use #8 bright brush to basecoat kitty's ribbon with Deep Periwinkle.

    6. Apply details of pattern using white graphite paper.

    7. Use 1/2" angular brush to highlight kitty using Neutral Grey.

    8. Use #8 bright brush to dry brush kitty's stripes, muzzle, above her eyes and the patch of fur on the chest using a 1:1 mixture of Salem Blue and white.

    9. Use #8 bright brush to dry brush same areas with Grey Sky. Use #0/0 liner brush to line with white the whiskers, a few hairs above the eyes, in patch of fur on chest, toes on paws, and at the end of the tail.

    10. Use #4 round brush to basecoat inside of ears, nose and mouth with Petal Pink. Shade with Royal Fuchsia using 3/8" angular brush and highlight with Baby Pink.

    11. Use #2 round brush to basecoat her eyes with Salem Blue. Shade with Indian Turquoise using 3/8" angular brush.

    12. With #2 round brush, basecoat pupils in the eyes with Lamp Black. Use #18/0 liner to add highlights to eyes with white.

    13. Use #18/0 liner to line hair on inner ears and around eyes and mouth with black.

    14. Use 3/8" angular brush to shade ribbon and bow with Dioxazine Purple. Highlight with Country Blue.

    15. Use 3/8" angular brush to shade Pumpkin with Cadmium Orange. Highlight with Tangerine.

    16. Shade Black Forest Green leaves with Black Green using 3/8" angular brush. Highlight with Dark Pine.

    17. Use #18/0 liner and line veins on leaves with Dark Pine.

    18. Use 3/8" angular brush to shade Forest Green leaves with Hauser Dark Green. Highlight with Mistletoe. Use #18/0 liner to line veins on leaves with Mistletoe.

    19. Use 3/8" angular brush to shade Arbor Green leaves with Antique Teal. Highlight with Mint Julep Green. Use #18/0 liner to line veins on leaves with Mint Julep Green.

    20. Use #0/0 liner to line tendrils on pumpkin with Forest Green.

    FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
    Varnish using Satin Varnish.
