Brushes by Loew-Cornell - Series 7050 Script Liner #1, Series 4500 Filbert #2
Painting Supplies - Brush basin, palette, paper towels
Other Materials & Supplies - Tracing & transfer paper, pencil, stylus, scotch tape, scissors, rubbing alcohol

2 White Floating Candles #05008 - Gardenia, by Endar Corp., available at most craft stores

PREPARATION
1. Thoroughly wipe down surface of candles with rubbing alcohol.
2. Basecoat candles with 1:1 mix of Titanium White and Lamp Black.
3. Turn candles with wick pointing away and place pattern so edge of cat's ear is right up against, but not overlapping, the wick. Transfer pattern, beginning with head and facial features, then haunch, and then tail and paws (pattern may have to be adjusted slightly to curve it around edges of candle).
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Mix all paints 1:1 with Candle Painting Medium.
Black and White Cat
1. Use script liner to outline around stripes with Lamp Black, filling in with filbert brush.
2. Paint eyes with Yellow Green.
3. Alternate Lamp Black stripes with Titanium White strokes.
4. Use Titanium White for the muzzle and chin, over eyes and around ears. Also, color the portion of the chest showing between head and paws with Titanium White.
5. Fill in ear and nose triangle with Baby Pink. Use Lamp Black to outline head, haunch, tail, paws, facial features, add whiskers and darken beneath paws.
6. Highlight eyes with Lemon Yellow.
Orange Cat
1. Outline stripes and head with Georgia Clay.
2. Alternate stripes with Moon Yellow.
3. Closed eyes and mouth are Dark Chocolate.
4. Complete by following previous instructions for outlining and highlighting.
