    Preparation:
Cut angel from 1/4" wood. Seal wooden parts with DecoArt Multi-Purpose Sealer. Dry and then lightly sand. Transfer patterns.

    Painting Instructions
    1. Basecoat as follows: Burnt Sienna - hair; Medium Flesh - face and hands; French Grey/Blue - dress; True Red - one "Simple Shape" house and one "Little Whittle" heart cutout; Light Buttermilk - one star; True Ochre - two "Little Whittle" flowers, and one "Simple Shape" house; Forest Green - leaves. Dry and lightly sand all parts. Transfer face and hair details with Transfer paper. (Little Whittle and Simple Shapes are both from Provo.)

2.Cut the ribbing off of the top of the glove. Stain the glove and lace with instant tea and water mixed in a spray bottle. Set in the sun to dry. When dry, you may letter the glove with a sharpie pen, "Flowers Bloom When Angels Sing."

    3. Detail the dress with a small check stencil. Stipple Wedgewood Blue onto the entire dress. Pick up paint on a small soft stencil brush. Pounce lightly on the palette to remove excess paint, and then lightly pounce over the stencil to create the checks.

    4. Line the star with French Grey/Blue, adding a touch of water to the paint.

    5. Set cheeks on with a small scumbling brush. Mix Medium Flesh and True Red for a bright pink. Softly swirl the color in place. Use a liner brush and a touch of water to add a bit of this color for her lip.

    6. Set in her eyes with a mix of Medium Flesh and Black. Use this color for her inner mouth. Add a hint of shading to mouth and eyes with Black and water.

    7. Mix Medium Flesh and Burnt Sienna to add the light lines on her hair. Use a small round brush and a touch of water for best results.

    8. Flower centers are a mix of True Ochre and True Red.

    9. Cut wings out of copper foil and then burnish, or etch, with steel wool.

    10. Wash birdhouse poles, houses and flowers with Earth Brown, one piece at a time. Remove excess glaze with a dry paper towel.

    11. Spray with Matt Spray Sealer.

    Finishing Instructions
    1. Attach arms with thin jute. Tie jute onto buttons and glue buttons onto her dress.

    2. Wire the star to her noggin.

    3. Glue metal wings to her back.

    4. Fold the lace part way into the glove and hot glue in place. Set angel and birdhouses into the glove and secure with hot glue. Add dried or silk flowers or ivy behind the angel and hot glue to the inside of the glove.

    5. Glue the flowers and heart to jute and allow to dry. String into her hands to complete. Add a wire to the back to hang.
