Note: Allow each coat of paint to dry between applications.

    1. Wipe pots with dry rag to remove any excess dust.
    2. Basecoat all pots, both inside and out, and four wooden wheels with Sweet Pea using either sponge or 3/4" flat brush. Set wheels aside.
    3. Starting with largest pot first and using pattern provided, trace and transfer dragonflies and lettering onto pot.
    4. Using #3 round brush and Robin's Egg Blue, paint bodies of dragonflies.
    5. Using #6 filbert brush and Cloud White, paint wings.
    6. Using liner brush and Wrought Iron Black, outline dragonfly bodies and wings and add detail lines.
    7. Using same liner brush and Wrought Iron Black, paint lettering. Dot letters with end of stylus.
    8. Trace and transfer butterfly pattern and lettering onto 5" pot.
    9. Paint outside of wings using #3 round brush and Petunia Purple.
    10. Paint inner section of wing with liner brush, using Fuchsia first and then painting center with Blue Bahama.
    11. Using liner brush, outline butterfly wings and paint body and lettering with Wrought Iron Black. Dot letters using stylus.
    12. Trace and transfer pattern for bumblebees and lettering to 4" pot.
    13. Using #6 filbert brush, paint body of bees Marigold and wings Cloud White.
    14. Using liner brush and Wrought Iron Black, paint stripes on bees and detail lines on wings; outline bees; and paint lettering as with other pots.
    15. Trace and transfer patterns for ladybugs and lettering onto 3" pot.
    16. Using #3 round brush, paint ladybug wings using Geranium Red. Using #2 round brush, paint heads and between wings with Wrought Iron Black.
    17. Use liner brush and Wrought Iron Black to outline ladybug and do lettering as with other three pots.
    18. Once pots are thoroughly dry, glue painted wooden wheel inside each pot against hole. (This will prevent knotted jute from passing thru larger hole in pots.)
    19. Fold jute in half. At fold, leaving enough of loop for hanging, tie knot. Thread other end of
jute through top of dragonfly pot and tie another knot on inside tightly against wooden wheel. Thread jute through top of butterfly pot. Adjust pot so that it hangs just inside dragonfly pot and butterflies are not hidden. Tie another knot.
    20. Repeat above step for next two pots.
    21. After tying knot for ladybug pot, leave enough jute to attach rusted jingle bell. Once bell is attached, cut off any remaining jute.
