  •     Instructions
    PREPARATION
    1. Wind chimes come assembled. Carefully remove line and save for later use.

    2. Lightly sand tin pieces. Clean with tack cloth to remove dust.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    WIND CHIMES
    1. Stipple Hunter Green over watering can. Repeat with Lagoon Blue. Do not cover; leave rust showing.

    2. Stipple heart and checks with Bing Cherry, referring to photo for placement. Lightly stipple around edges to highlight with Ivory. Stitching around heart is Lagoon Blue. Shade with Hunter Green. Small checks are Coal Black.

    3. Basecoat bee bodies on both sides with 2:1 mix of Bright Yellow and Espresso Bean. Dry-brush wings with Ivory. Stripes are Coal Black. Paint eyes Ivory and pupils Coal Black dotted with Ivory.

    4. Basecoat one dragonfly Deep Blue and the other Bing Cherry. Stipple wings and dry-brush tail with Ivory. Basecoat eyes with Ivory. Pupils are Coal Black dotted with Ivory.

    5. Shade beehive with Espresso Bean. Dry-brush with Ivory to highlight.

    DOOR "WELCOME" SIGN
    Basecoat as follows:
    1. Door Wrought Iron Black. Using old paint brush, dry-brush Lt. Eucalyptus Green over black.

    2. Screen Coal Black; highlight center with Ivory.

    3. Sign two coats of Bing Cherry.

    4. Gardening tool handles Holly Berry Red.

    5. Transfer patterns for welcome sign, birdhouse and topiary.

    6. Paint birdhouse roof Heritage Blue and topiary pot with mix of Sedona Clay and Bright White.

    7. Add vines to sign with #1 script liner and Hunter Green, Jungle Green and Artichoke Green. Start with dark color and freehand vines, overlapping with each color. Squiggle lines are Artichoke Green.

    8. Use #4 flat brush to make leaves in one stroke. Double load with Jungle Green and Ivory. Randomly add leaves.

    9. Use #5 round brush loaded with Ivory to make petals in one stroke, pulling into center.

    10. Shade petals from center out with Deep Red. Stipple center with Bright Yellow. Shade center with Espresso Bean; add Coal Black dots. Highlight with Ivory.

    11. Use #4 flat brush doubled loaded with Deep Red and Ivory to do red flowers. Use chisel edge of brush to make single or clusters of buds.

    12. With stylus, use Heritage Blue and Ivory to make clusters of dots.

    13. Welcome letters are 1:1 mix of Lagoon Blue and Bright White.

    14. For clay pot topiary, shade with Espresso Bean. Pull a few lines in from sides with Coal Black. Dry-brush with Ivory to highlight. Basecoat trunk with Espresso Bean; highlight with Ivory.

    15. Stipple topiary with Hunter Green, then Artichoke Green, then Ivory.

    16. Dry-brush birdhouse and roof with Ivory. Lines are Bing Cherry.

    FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
    WELCOME SIGN
    1. Glue and nail sign to door; glue birdhouse to door side and paint holes Coal Black.

    2. Glue floral foam and moss into watering can. Glue in gardening tools.

    3. Wrap vines around door and attach with 20-gauge wire.

    4. Spray with 2-3 coats Americana Matte Spray.

    WIND CHIMES
    1. Use line to rehang dragonflies, bees and hive to watering can.

    2. Apply two or three coats Americana Matte Spray.
