Gingerbread Greetings Craft Twinkles is an acrylic paint loaded with large flakes of bright, shiny glitter. This brush-on glitter is the easiest and best way to add glitter to any project. The clear base makes it easy to see where you are brushing and is less messy and more accurate than sprinkle-on glitter. Craft Twinkles can be used on virtually any craft surface - frames, lamps, vases, candles and candle holders, ornaments, and other holiday crafts.

Preparation 1. Wipe away any dirt or debris from the surface. 2. On all designs, use the tracing and transfer paper. First, trace the design onto the tracing paper. Place the transfer paper under the tracing paper, and tape down with masking tape. Use a pencil or stylus to transfer the design onto the surface. Remove the transfer and tracing paper. Painting instructions 1. Using the 1" brush and Burnt Umber mixed with an equal amount of Staining/Antiquing Medium, paint the center area and the top and bottom rims of the sign. Use a soft cloth to wipe back leaving it darker around the edges. 2.Paint the top and outer rim of the sign Primary Red. Allow to dry. 3. Transfer the word Season onto the top front panel and the word Greetings onto the bottom front panel of the sign. Using the #3 round brush, the both words Shimmering Silver. Allow to dry, then paint with Silver Craft Twinkles. 4. Transfer the wreath and gingerbread men design onto the center of the sign. 5. Using the 1/2" brush, paint the gingerbread men Raw Sienna. Allow to dry, then shade them with Burnt Umber. Using the liner brush and Burnt Umber, outline the gingerbread men. 6. Paint the vest collar Shimmering Silver. Paint the vest fronts Berry Red; paint the buttons and line down the center of the vest with Lamp Black. Shade under the collar and each gingerbread man with Burnt Umber. Allow to dry. 7. Paint the gingerbread men's bodies with a little Gold Craft Twinkles. Paint the red vest with Christmas Red Craft Twinkles. Paint the collar with Silver Craft Twinkles. Paint the eyes, mouths, and noses Lamp Black. Highlight the eyes with Titanium White. 8. Paint the candy canes with strips of Titanium White and Berry Red. Shade in the Titanium White areas with Blue Violet. Allow to dry. Paint the Titanium White areas with Crystal Craft Twinkles. Paint the Berry Red areas with Christmas Red Craft Twinkles. 9. Paint the berries Berry Red; paint the leaves Black Green. Allow to dry, then paint the berries with Christmas Red Craft Twinkles and highlight with Titanium White. Paint the leaves with Christmas Green Craft Twinkles. Shade the berries with Burnt Umber. Use Lamp Black for the veins in the leaves. 10. Shade around the leaves, gingerbread men, and candy canes with Burnt Umber. |
