Halloween Treat Pails

Use Foam Paint to turn foam can hugs into unique treat bags this Halloween.

DecoArt Products Required
Chenille stems in green metallic, orange mix
Craft foam in orange, white, yellow
Craft knife
Lo-temp glue gun

Foam can hugs in purple, orange

Candy Corn Treat Bucket
1. Trace three full candy corn patterns onto white craft foam. Trace three middle section patterns onto orange foam. Trace three wide-end section patterns onto yellow foam. Cut out nine foam pieces.
2. Layer orange and yellow foam piece over white piece for each candy corn; glue pieces in place.
3. Referring to photo for placement and glue backs of three candy corns to can hug. (Note: Due to curve of can hug, it may be necessary to press candy corn piece down and hold in place until glue adheres.)
4. Outline candy corn pieces and sections with Black Foam Paint; allow to dry.
5. Use Yellow Foam Paint to write "treats" on can hug.
6. For handle, use craft knife to make small cut through foam at each side 1/2" from top edge. Insert 1 1/2" end of orange chenille stem through hole to inside of can hug and twist end around chenille stem above rim to secure. Repeat for opposite side.
Jack O' Lantern Treat Bucket
1. Use Black Foam Paint to paint facial details on can hug; allow to dry.
2. For handle, use craft knife to make small cut through foam at each side 1/2" from top edge. Insert 1 1/2" end of green chenille stem through hole to inside of can hug and twist end around chenille stem above rim to secure. Repeat for opposite side.
