PREPARATION
1. Transfer pattern outline. Cut out snowmen shape and 3 feet.
2. Sand, seal with Wood Sealer; sand.
3. Basecoat entire board with Ice Blue; sponge with Titanium White.
4. Transfer basic pattern.
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Snowman on right has Lamp Black hat, Sea Aqua scarf and Hauser Medium Green vest.
2. Snowman in the middle has Napa Red hat, Hauser Light Green earmuffs and Evergreen scarf.
3. Snowman on left has Lamp Black boots. Basecoat hat Hauser Medium Green; sponge with Hauser Light Green, Sea Aqua and Snow White. Earmuffs are basecoated Peony Pink.
4. Paint noses DeLane's Cheek Color. Eyes and mouths are Lamp Black.
5. Transfer pattern details.
Right Snowman
1. With Payne's Grey, float down both sides of face and above nose, along back of arm, especially at elbow and to separate body from next snowman.
2. With Titanium White, reinforce light areas, upper lip and both sides of lower lip, chin, upper shoulder and thumb and a little on his back side.
3. Float Violet Haze along edge of hat and white fly-away hairs on forehead. Cheeks and tongue are DeLane's Cheek Color, shaded Napa Red at base of tongue and left side of nose.
4. Shade scarf and add checks with Payne's Grey.
5. Two highlights in each eye and one on his tongue are Titanium White.
6. Vest is shaded with Payne's Grey. Fir tree designs are Golden Straw with Moon Yellow edges.
Middle Snowman
1. Float shaded area on hat with Payne's Grey. Float Payne's Grey down side of head, under chin and above nose.
2. Shade rest of body, under arm, waist and along back of body Violet Haze. Deepen with a little Payne's Grey.
3. Create hat's weave with DeLane's Cheek Color on two different sections of hat. Use #5 round brush to pull strokes down on one side and up on the other. Highlight these tiny strokes with a little Titanium White and DeLane's Cheek Color.
4. Cheek is DeLane's Cheek Color. Add little Titanium White fly-away hairs.
5. Darken earmuffs with Hauser Medium Green and highlight with Hauser Light Green plus Titanium White.
6. Dots are Baby Pink outlined with Peony Pink. Add two Titanium White highlights in eyes and one on nose.
Left Snowman
1. Highlight Peony Pink earmuffs with Titanium White.
2. Cheeks are DeLane's Cheek Color.
3. Body shading is Violet Haze; strengthen with a tiny bit of Payne's Grey.
4. Boots are Lamp Black with Violet Haze highlights.
FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Let dry; spray with Americana Matte Spray.
2. Glue feather to green hat.
3. Glue dowel pieces and feet.
