PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Sponge Deep Fuchsia and Strawberry Shake around rim and water pipe (see photo), creating soft variegated look. Use same technique around 4" of tub bottom and mid-section of watering can with True Green and Hunter Green. Below the Deep Fuchsia area of tub, lightly sponge Cornflower Blue in shape of clouds. Highlight with Bright White. Let dry.
2. Trace pattern with graphite paper as a guide.
3. Using #4 brush, paint birdhouse stakes Espresso Bean, fence pickets Bright White. Float 1:1 mix of Clear Medium and Espresso Bean over pickets.
4. Starting from left to right, paint birdhouses as follows:
a. Paint house and roof Bright White. Shade with 1:1 mix Espresso Bean and Clear Medium on left side of house and 1:1 mix Deep Fuchsia and Clear Medium on roof line;
b. Paint house and roof Lagoon Blue. Highlight with 1:1 mix of Clear Medium and Bright White on roof top and around opening.
c. Paint house Bright White and roof Bright Blue. Highlight roof with Lagoon Blue and shade left side of house with 1:1 mix of Clear Medium and Bright Blue.
d. Paint house Bright Lime Green and roof Hunter Green. Highlight with Bright White on right side.
e. Paint house Bright Yellow and roof Real Red. Shade house on left with 1:1 mix of Clear Medium and Real Red.
5. Use various flat brushes listed for different sized stroke roses, triple loading with Bright White, Strawberry Shake and Deep Fuchsia.
6. Use #3 round brush and Bright Yellow for daisy petals. Dot centers with 1:1 mix of Real Red and Bright Yellow.
7. Again with #3 round brush, fill in the flower bundles with random dashes of Deep Purple, Deep Fuchsia, and Bright White.
8. Add leaves with #3 round brush in Bright Lime Green and True Green. Shade with Hunter Green where needed.
9. Finally, add dots of Bright White in small groupings and outline pattern in Coal Black with #1 liner or permanent black marker.
