Brushes - Loew-Cornell, Royal or Eagle - 1" Flat Basecoat; #8 Flat Shader; # 1 Detail Liner
Supplies - Cellulose sponge, brush basin, palette, paper towels, pencil, scissors, thick tacky glue, plastic mixing bowl, masking tape, brown paper lunch bag (for treat bag), 3 strands natural raffia (bag tie), 5 assorted sized button

Terra Cotta by Ceramo - 8" Saucer (top of head); 6" Saucer (base for feet); 3 ea 8" Standard Pots (head, chest & legs)
Pkg Celluclay by Activa (hair, eyebrows, plugs, hands & feet)
2 ea 2" Styrofoam Eggs (shoes)
3 ea Medium Teardrop Woodsies By Forster (nose & ears)
2 ea Small Dot Woodsies (nose)
2 ea Medium Dot Woodsies (eyes)
2 ea Paper Towel Inner Cores (arms)

PREPARATION - To weatherproof: Apply Clear Coat to the inside of all terra cotta pieces prior to assembling. Use diagram below as guide for assembling.
1. Mix Celluclay according to package instructions. Place on top of head to form hair, roll plugs on sides of head, and thin eyebrows. Use glue to secure, if needed.
2. Place Styrofoam eggs on front sides of base saucer; cover with clay to form feet.
3. For arms, cut paper towel cores to fit proportion of body, glue in place on pot, use clay to build up shoulders and small hands tucked into sleeves.
4. Allow clay to dry prior to painting.
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use 1:1 mix of Cloud White and Fern Green and 1" flat brush to paint head and arms. Glue ears and nose on face, then paint, shade and blush with Fern Green. Paint eyes Cloud White, eyeballs Wrought Iron Black and eyelids Fern Green; glue onto face. Details and scars are done with Wrought Iron Black.
2. Hair, and eyebrows are painted with Wrought Iron Black.
3. With 1" flat brush, paint jacket with 1:1 mix of Petunia Purple and Wrought Iron Black.
4. Trousers and plugs are painted with Concrete Grey. Use #8 shader to shade with Wrought Iron Black.
5. Paint shoes with Woodland Brown and shade with Wrought Iron Black. Use sponge to highlight tips of toes.
6. Use glue to secure buttons on jacket.
7. Use sponge to "dirty" treat bag with Wrought Iron Black. Use the detail brush to write words on bag.
8. Fill bag with treats or tissue to give full look, then secure with raffia. Glue to hand.
NOTE: For outdoor use, please make sure that all clay is completely painted with Patio Paint or Clear Coat.
