  •     Instructions
    PREPARATION
    1. If using a light box, tape pattern to light box surface with drafting tape. (Drafting tape will not tear or permanently stick to the card when it is removed.) Turn on light. Place open card on pattern, centering it. Tape it in place with drafting tape.

    2. Trace over pattern lines with #03 Pigma Pen. Use #08 pen for lettering on witch card.

    3. If not using a light box, trace and transfer pattern.

    4. Sand, tack and apply Multi-Purpose Sealer to pins.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    Helpful Hint: Before painting each section on the watercolor cards, lightly dampen with water.

    Leaf Card
    Card
    1. Paint brown squares in the border with Earth Brown.

    2. Paint one leaf at a time, painting the top section Meadow Green, middle section Terra Cotta and bottom section Earth Brown. Work quickly so the colors do not dry before blended. (Painting "messy" adds charm to the leaves.)

    3. Where each of the leaf colors meet, stipple back and forth to blend.

    Pin
    1. Paint leaf same as leaves on card.

    2. Paint inside of mouth Beautiful Burgundy; add highlight dot of Light Buttermilk.

    3. Eyes are dots of Lamp Black with highlight dots of Light Buttermilk. Nose is Beautiful Burgundy.

    4. Outline all with Lamp Black.

    Witch Card
    Card
    1. Basecoat pumpkin Sunset Orange; shade Terra Cotta. Paint tooth Light Buttermilk; when dry, paint again with Starlight Crystal. Paint eyes Soft Black with Light Buttermilk highlight dots.

    2. Basecoat leaf Hunter Green; shade Hunter Green; highlight Sunrise Yellow.

    3. Paint inside web Starlight Crystal.

    Pin
    1. Paint hat Lamp Black. Basecoat hatband Celestial Blue; shade Purple Heather. Liner stripes with Purple Heather.

    2. Basecoat face Blissful Beige; shade Terra Cotta. Paint eyes Lamp Black; add highlight dot of Light Buttermilk to each eye. Liner nose and mouth Terra Cotta. Paint inside mouth Terra Cotta with highlight dot of Light Buttermilk.

    3. Basecoat hair with 1:1 mix of Hunter Green and Sunrise Yellow; shade Hunter Green; highlight Sunrise Yellow. Liner with Lamp Black.

    FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Apply Satin Varnish to both pins.

    2. Hot glue nose to leaf pin and pin backs to pins; pin to cards.

    3. Make two bows with raffia and hot glue them above leaves on Leaf Card.
