Product Note Americana Acrylics are artist-quality, water-based, non-toxic paints. They are intermixable and suitable for almost any surface. They are creamy to facilitate smooth and easy brush strokes, and highly pigmented for richer color and one-stroke coverage. The wide range of colors makes color coordination easy: It reduces the waste of mixing to get the perfect hue. Transferring a Pattern Lay tracing paper over pattern and draw the basic lines. Lay this tracing on the surface to be painted. Slip graphite paper between the tracing and the surface. Tape to secure. Trace with a pencil to transfer the design. Do not trace details until after basecoating has dried. Instructions 1. Basecoat entire surface Limeade. Let dry. Apply Glo-It all over. 2. With Lamp Black, paint 2" wide band 1-1/2" from bottom and a 3/4" wide wavy band 1/4" from bottom. 3. On 2" band, paint Deep Periwinkle stripes 1-1/2" apart with #12 flat brush, Pumpkin stripes, and a wavy lines of Limeade with #1 liner. (Refer to photo.) 4. On black wavy line, add Deep Periwinkle dots and "Trick or Treat" with Pumpkin, using Fine Liner. 5. Transfer pattern centrally over 2" plaid band. Paint witch's hat with 1:1 mix of Deep Periwinkle and Lamp Black, shaded with Lamp Black; hat band Deep Periwinkle and buckle Limeade; pumpkin Pumpkin with Arbor Green leaves and Milk Chocolate stem; ghost Titanium White with Lamp Black eyes and mouth. 6. Outline design and plaid band with a wiggly line using Lamp Black and Fine Liner. 7. Add Deep Periwinkle wavy lines vertically 1" apart on areas with solid coverage of Limeade and Glo-It. Let dry. Use end of brush to add Pumpkin dots randomly. 8. Paint rope handle Arbor Green. 9. Paint rectangle tags Deep Periwinkle. Shade edges with black. Write "Happy Halloween" with Pumpkin and Fine Liner. Paint round tag Pumpkin and personalize with Lamp Black using Fine Liner. 10. Glue tags to craft wire and twist around rope handle. PSF99 |
