PREPARATION Pre-wash shirt (do not use fabric softener). Secure shirt onto a shirt board. To transfer pattern, trace the back of pattern, using a white chalk pencil. Place chalk-side-down on garment and gently rub over the pattern using a hard, flat object, until entire design is transferred. PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Sunflower - Working wet on wet, base petals with Cadmium Yellow So-Softs, shade at the base with Antique Gold and highlight the tips with White. Base the center of the flower Antique Gold, shade around the outside edge with Terra Cotta. Paint a small circle in the center with Dark Chocolate. 2. Wabbit - Mix White with Terra Cotta, about 4 to 1, and base the wabbit. Base the muzzle in White. Shade with Terra Cotta. Base the tooth White and the inside of the mouth Christmas Red. Add a touch of Christmas Red to White and base in the nose and lip. Brush a little of this mixture on her cheeks and foot pads. Darken the shading here and there with Dark Chocolate. Add a White highlight to the nose, lip and cheeks. 3. Clothes and Glasses - Base the glasses with Shimmering Pearls Blue. Shade at the top with Shimmering Pearls Ultra Blue. Add a White highlight. Base the suit Shimmering Pearls Blue and shade with Shimmering Pearls Ultra Blue. 4. Final touches - Streak a little more Terra Cotta at the base of the petals. With the handle of the brush, add dots of Dark Chocolate around the outside of the center. Add dots of Cadmium Yellow and White around inside circle. Let dry. Brush a heavy coat of Heavy Metals Karat Gold on the flower center. Brush a little Shimmering Pearls White on the tips of the petals. Brush a small amount of Ultra Blue under her so she looks like she's sitting on something. If you wish, you may outline the entire design after it dries with a permanent black pen. Finishing Instructions Remove shirt board and allow shirt to dry for at least 24 hours. Wait an additional 48 hours before washing. Hand wash and hang to dry.
