4" filbert brush
Fine liner brush
Palette or foam plate
Paper towels
Water basin
Tracing and transfer paper

6" terra cotta pot with saucer
|
Note: Each step may take several coats to achieve opaque coverage. Allow plenty of drying time between each coat.
1. Basecoat inside of pot and rim Sunshine Yellow.
2. Basecoat outside and bottom of pot Cloud White.
3. Base saucer Sweet Pea and set aside.
4. Transfer flower pattern. (Do not transfer sunglasses and facial features at this time.)
5. Paint centers of all flowers Sunshine Yellow.
6. Following pattern numbers, paint each flower's petals as follows: first flower is Blue Bahama; second, Geranium Red; third, Robin's Egg Blue; fourth, Azalea; fifth, Petunia Purple; and sixth, Fuchsia.
7. Paint all leaves and stems Sweet Pea.
8. Transfer face details and sunglasses to pot.
9. Following pattern numbers, paint sunglass rims as follows: first is Azalea; second, Robin's Egg Blue; third, Blue Bahama; fourth, Petunia Purple; fifth, Fuchsia; and sixth, Geranium Red.
10. Base bodies of bumblebees Marigold.
11. Transfer lettering spaced evenly three times around rim.
12. Paint sunglass lenses; bumblebee heads, antennae, and stripes; lettering; and facial features, Wrought Iron Black.
13. Paint flowers on rim with Cloud White petals and Marigold centers.
14. Paint open smiles and highlight marks on sunglasses Cloud White.
15. Outline leaves, stems, flower petals, sunglasses, bumblebees, wings, and mouths, Wrought Iron Black.
