PREPARATION - Wash ceramic pieces with warm soapy water; rinse with 1:1 mix of vinegar and water.. Let dry completely. PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS TEAPOT 1. Place tape 2" down from top of teapot and 2" up from bottom of teapot to create a border. 2. Using sponge brush and 1:1 mix of Yellow Green and Gloss White, pounce between tape to cover entire center of teapot. Pounce top of teapot lid to cover entire surface with same paint. When dry, remove tape. 3. Paint knob on top of lid with Gloss Black. Transfer pattern for top. Paint squiggly lines using Gloss Black with #1 liner. Add swirls with Gloss Black, squares with Orange. Dot with Lavender, using end of brush handle. 4. Transfer pattern for center of teapot. Basecoat pumpkin with #5 round brush using Orange. Double load* #8 shader with Burgundy and Orange and shade pumpkin. Add eyes, nose and mouth with Gloss Black. Dot eyes and cheeks with Gloss White. Add stitch lines around pumpkin with Gloss Black. and stem with Chocolate. Add vine with Hunter. Double load #4 shader with Hunter and Yellow Green to add leaves. 5. Section off around border using squiggly lines and Gloss Black. Add swirls with Gloss Black and squares with Orange. Add dots with Lavender using brush handle. 6. Add dots with Gloss Black using tip of brush handle around pumpkin. 7. Add squiggly lines with Gloss Black around top and bottom of border. Add dots on spout and handle with Gloss Black using tip of brush handle. 8. With #4 shader and Gloss Black, add two rows of checks around top of teapot. BOX 1. Sponge top of lid and alternating sides of box with 1:1 mix of Yellow Green and Gloss White. Transfer patterns. Follow teapot instructions for painting pumpkin. 2. Using Gloss Black, add dots with tip of brush handle and squiggly lines around top of box. With #1 liner, write "treats" on top of lid. 3. On painted surfaces on sides of box, add swirls with Gloss Black and squares with Orange. 4. On unpainted surfaces on sides, dot with Lavender using tip of brush handle. Add squiggly lines to section off sides and squiggly line around bottom with Gloss Black. 5. Add two rows of checks with #4 shader and Gloss Black on lid and around bottom of box.
