    2. Stipple snowman all over with scruffy brush and 1:1 mix of Winter Blue and Blue Chiffon. Leave some background color showing through and do less stippling in indents where head meets body and top of body meets bottom of body. Wipe excess paint off brush and load next color mix.

    3. Continue stippling over body and arms with Blue Chiffon. Let background show through and stipple less in shadow areas. Wipe excess paint out of brush and load next color mix.

    4. Continue stippling all over body and arms with 1:1 mix of Blue Chiffon and Titanium White. Let background show through and keep out of shadow areas, staying mainly in highlight areas. wipe paint out of brush and load next color mix.

    5. Stipple in highlight areas with Titanium White. The whitest areas should be the center sections of snowman.

    6. Apply Brush 'n Blend over shade areas of snowman. Dress large floating brush in Brush 'n Blend and sideload/float* Williamsburg Blue in shade areas. It is like a reverse with darkest color meeting in center of crevice. Also float this color under hat and on head. Let dry.

    7. Deepen shading with Uniform Blue and then Royal Purple.

    8. Transfer face pattern or freehand design.

    9. With dry scruffy brush, load Cherry Red and scrub most of paint out on piece of paper towel. In circular motion, blush on cheeks lightly.

    10. Basecoat eyes and mouth with Lamp Black, making them uneven to resemble coal.

    11. Sideload/float highlights on right side of each black eye and mouth section with Winter Blue.

    12. With Titanium White, place small dot in upper section of eye on highlight float.

    13. With Cherry Red, sideload/float at base of carrot where it meets face.

    14. Dry-brush carrot with 1:1 mix of Burnt Orange and white.

    15. Lightly wet hat with Brush 'n Blend. With sideload* of Winter Blue, slip slap highlights on hat. Let dry.

    16. Using a liner or small round brush, zigzag in Cherry Red stripes on hat band. Sideload/float shade on the end of the broom handle, birdhouse smokestack and perch.

    17. Sideload/float Winter Blue highlight on top ridge of birdhouse roof and top of smokestack.

    18. Sideload/float shade Williamsburg Blue on top and bottom of hat band, and shade birdhouse walls under roof and above base, and on sides of birdhouse.

    19. Sideload/float shade Uniform Blue on hat, next to hat band and on roof ends of birdhouse.

    20. Use Accessory Tip with small round hole to apply Decorating Paste icicles to hat rim and birdhouse roof; let dry.

Helpful Hint: Practice first, holding bag underneath nutcracker with tip pointed up, touching underside of hat. Paste bag will be below in your hand. Now begin squeezing to get a big blob of paste onto the hat and slowly begin pulling down to form icicle. To get a longer icicle, squeeze and pull, then stop squeezing but keep pulling down icicle until it breaks away from paste tip and end with point.

21.Brush on Glimmer to add sparkles to icicles.

FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS - Glue on nose, birdhouse and broom. Add glue to ends of scarf to prevent fraying.
    2. Varnish with DuraClear. Let dry.

    3. Glue cardinal to hat brim.

    4. Tie on scarf.
