STANFORD, Ky.— DecoArt, Inc., maker of the popular acrylic paint brand Americana®, proudly announces the addition of a new craft medium that will extend the Americana® line to include an all-in-one glue, sealer and finish product, aptly named Americana® Decoupage.

“While this is a new addition to our line, decoupage glues have been around for quite some time,” said Stan Clifford, CEO and owner of DecoArt, Inc. “However,” he continued “we didn’t want to add a product into our line until we knew we had something special. As more and more artists are using a decoupage product in their arts and crafts, now is a great time for DecoArt to release our new Americana® Decoupage.”

“I am amazed at how much this glue far outshines the products I’ve relied on in the past,” said Bethany Kartchner, an acclaimed and highly-published Mixed-Media artist. “I’m now a firm convert to Americana® Decoupage. No other brand will do.”

As a working mixed-media artist, Kartchner says she has a great deal of experience working with decoupage glue, which she described as her “go to adhesive medium of choice.”

“I figured decoupage glue was decoupage glue,” she said. “How could DecoArt possibly do it differently? Well, after putting it through some artistic hoops, I realized I was seriously mistaken. DecoArt Americana® Decoupage far outshines the products that I’ve used in the past.”

Bethany continues that the new Americana® Decoupage features include “a low-odor, thick consistency that not only makes [the product] less messy to apply, but it also means quicker dry-time and no warping of paper! Not only that, but when using Americana® Decoupage with thin materials like tissue paper, I found that the thick consistency prevented many of the unsightly tears that I had experienced previously.”

DecoArt’s Americana® Decoupage is available in 2-, 4- and 8-oz squeeze bottles, as well as in a 16-oz value jar.
