Have you seen those cute parties where people have removed the labels on Starbucks Frappuccino bottles and served drinks in them with cute paper straws? Well that is the inspiration behind this project today! Instead of Frappuccino bottles, I recently bought new bottles of Starbucks Iced Coffee and I just loved their shape! So after I was done with them I removed the labels and cleaned them for reuse.
But why have boring, plain drink jars when you can add DecoArt Gloss Enamels for a punch of color? And that's just what I did.

Items needed:

  • Americana 3D Gloss Enamel Opaque Writers 2oz - True Blue
  • Americana 3D Gloss Enamel Opaque Writers 2oz - Festive Green
  • glass bottles
  • rubbing alcohol
  • painter's tape

First you will want to clean your jars off with rubbing alcohol. Next, wrap painter's tape around the jar where you want the paint to start. The final step is to paint the bottom of the jars with DecoArt Gloss Enamels.

Easy but cute! I even added some dots to one to show how much more fun and whimsy you could add to the jars. Pop in some coordinating paper straws and you are party-ready!

So for your next party, or just for fun, try some paint-dipped drink jars! Life just tastes better out of cute jars, right?

Very creative and I think it's a great use of glass jars around the house. We all have them for that special occasion that never comes ..Nice photos too! Phyllis
