Today we're focused on home decor for the holidays and we've got an simple tutorial for you using Americana Decor Chalky Finish paints! Now, let's join DecoArt Design Team Member, Felicity Greiner as she walks you through a simple way to transform a wooden surface into an adorable gingerbread village. It's perfect for the holidays and will bring so much joy to your home decor!

Items needed:

• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - Everlasting
• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - Heritage
• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - New Life
• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - Treasure
• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - Rustic
• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - Reminisce
• Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint 2oz - Rejuvenate
• Wooden surface (houses)
• Flat Brush
• Round Brush
• Pencil

Instructions:

Step 1: Gather supplies such as a wooden surface and your favorite Americana Decor® Chalky Finish colors.

Step 2: Paint the entire wooden surface in Rustic with a flat brush.

Step 3: Refer to the final photo to sketch the design on the houses in pencil. Mix together blue and white to make a light blue. Use a round brush to paint the windows in the light blue mix. Paint the doors in blue, pink, green, orange, yellow, and white.

Step 4: Paint the top portions of the houses in the same colors. With a round brush, create scallops with a separate color on each roof.

Step 5: Enjoy for many holiday seasons to come!
