Instructions:

Start by gathering your supplies.  For this wreath you will need a lot of leaf cut-outs and the 12 x 24 sheets of cardstock are really handy.

Instruction Image #1

Start by downloading two leaf images from the Cricut Design Space.  I am using images #MA3F19 (Fall Leaves) and #M3A2383 (Rose Leaf).  I sized each leaf to 3 inches and placed as many as would fit onto the 12 x 24 cut template.

Set the dial to cardstock and cut leaf images using the Cricut Explore Air 2 machine.  I used 4 pieces of cardstock for the entire wreath.  The Fast Mode of the Explore Air 2 made this process much faster.

I used the piercing tool from the paper crafting set to remove the cut-out leaves off of the cutting mat.

To create texture and metallic accents to the leaves, I start by using a makeup sponge to dab on Americana Acrylics paint in the color sap green.  Then I applied a layer of DecoArt Extreme Sheen in Sterling sliver then topped with Champagne Gold also using a sponge.  You just need a little paint on the sponge because it will spread out while dabbing it on.  After painting, you can use the quilling tool to curl the leaf edges.

While the painted paper leaves are drying, I painted the chipboard wreath using Americana Multi-Surface Satin in the color cotton ball.  Set it aside and let it dry.

Instruction Image #6

I applied two layers of leaves to the wreath.  For the bottom layer, I applied a thin coat of Decou-Page Matte to both the wreath and the back of the leaves.  For the top layer, I used thick foam squares to stick the leaves on top of the bottom layer.  This creates a fuller more dimensional looking wreath.

Finally, to add a cozy Scandinavian feel, I added several sizes of some folk art stars using the Cricut Explore Air 2, image #M3D9A8, and white cardstock.  I used adhesive foam squares to stick them to the wreath.

This Paper Wreath with Metallic Accents will make a great addition to your holiday decor this year.  Just add a sticky strip to the back of the wreath to hang on the wall.
