Simple Farmhouse Office Organizer

Creating this one of a kind farmhouse office storage was a fun and quick DIY. The hardest part was waiting for the paint to dry so I could use it! I love the addition of this office organizer to my office. When picking out my paint colors for my office organizer I knew that I wanted it to flow with the design of my eclectic office theme.
It fits right in and provides me with the perfect storage for all of my small office supplies. My office supplies are a little different than the typical office supplies as I use my home office space for crafting and creating DIY projects. Now I have a spot to keep my scissors and glue gun so that they don't get misplaced. Here are the supplies that I used to paint my home office organizer.

When I was picking out my paint colors for my office organizer I knew that I wanted it to match with my eclectic farmhouse office theme. I love the color of this Vintage Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint but it was a bit too much of a light smokey blue color when it dried. It is a beautiful color but it didn't quite match my office colors. I needed something a little darker. I also didn't want to do just a grey color because I felt like it would to much grey with the galvanized containers that also sit on the table. So I decided to mix the two chalk paint colors together. I did equal parts of Artifact and Vintage. I used a plastic spoon to measure out the paint and then mixed them together in a small bowl.
Doing things in bold colors isn't quite my style. I am typically drawn to neutral colors, but I wanted to add a small touch of color to my office organizer so I decided to add it to the insides of the drawers in fun bright colors to match the brighter colors that I incorporated into my eclectic farmhouse home office.
In the large drawer, I painted the inside of it in Americana Acrylic in Navy Blue because it matches my office so well and it is my favorite color. Then I did the insides of the small drawers in vintage pink to match the rug and wall art in my office. Plus I think it adds a cute surprise when you open the drawers!
