Spotlight:  Cindy Harrison

“I was born and raised in New Hampshire. I find inspiration in most everything. I’ve been an art enthusiast for as long as I can remember. However, it was in 1994 that I made decorative art my profession. Mediums taught are acrylics, pen & ink with rouged oils, watercolors, and colored pencils.”

“Since 1996, I have been teaching in my home studio, several shops around southern New Hampshire, and at local Chapters. I have also taught at conventions throughout the US. Twenty-twelve gave me the opportunity to teach in Canada. I take great pleasure in being able to share my knowledge and talent. I believe painting should be fun and relaxing. In teaching, I stress patience, acceptability, self-confidence, and a strong knowledge of techniques.”

“I am a member of the Society of Decorative Painters’ and two local chapters: the White Mountain Decorative Painters’ Guild (NH) and Yankee Heritage Tole Chapter (MA). I have served the WMDPG, having held several positions including that of President in 2011. I continue to be an active participant in the local chapters and New England Traditions Convention activities to help keep decorative painting alive and growing.”

“I currently sponsor online e-courses for the decorative painting community, Purely Acrylics. Contact me for further information at cindy@cdpnh.com
