Spotlight:  Deb Antonick

Deb Antonick

Deb taught painting classes at Michaels in Calgary, Alberta before she moved into publishing. She loves to teach and share ideas with students and is an active and contributing member of the DecoArt Helping Artist team, an FM Dynasty Brush Ambassador, AFCI Designer Member, and an ambassador for Stampendous.

Her designs can be found in the new Painting World magazine along with the digital publications Pixelated Palette and the Painting e-zine. Deb’s designs are also featured regularly on the Artist’s Club website.

Deb’s designs are what she likes to call “primsy”, a whimsical take on the old primitive style with a twist of mixed media. Her projects often include basic decorative painting techniques while also incorporating stamps, stencils, papers, embellishments, and more.

As if she wasn’t busy enough, Deb paints samples for Stampendous and can often be found demoing in their booth at conventions. In January of this year, she had the experience of demoing in the DecoArt booth at the AFCI Creativation Show in Phoenix. She says, “It was so fun, and I got to see all the new products that were launching.” Deb loves trying new things and finding new ways to use already existing products.

In addition to all of her painting, Deb is the very proud Grandma to two grandboys – Emery is 5 and Isaac is 3. Emery loves her studio and doing crafts with Grandma. When they are not crafting, they stay busy playing hockey and baseball.

This October, you can find Deb teaching at the Oklahoma City Painting Palooza. Until then, you can follow Deb on Facebook, visit her website, or send her an email.
