Description

Triple Thick Gloss Glaze -

Triple Thick Gloss Glaze is a high gloss varnish that will deliver a diamond clear finish in just one coat. Made for use on hard art and craft surfaces, Triple Thick is non-toxic, water based, and creates a glass-like protective finish that intensifies the depth of colors beneath it - a great epoxy resin alternative. Triple Thick dries quickly and will not crack or yellow. Allow to cure for 24 hours to ensure durability. Weather resistant and water repellent for outdoor use. Heat resistant. Perfect for use on hard surfaces such as rocks, wood, paper mache, resin, MDF, polymer clay, Diamond Dotz™ and more. Triple Thick is a fan favorite among diamond painters sealing down the diamonds with a brilliant finish.

For best results: Use in temperatures above 60°F and humidity levels between 50-70%. Before coating with Triple Thick, be sure your project is dry and cured completely to avoid hazing or blurring. We do not recommend using Triple Thick Gloss Glaze on most canvas projects. Due to its weight, the varnish can cause the canvas to dip or bow. As an alternative, we recommend trying one of our DuraClear Varnishes for canvas projects. Not intended for contact with food.

I love it. I use

"I love it. I use this to put a wonderful glaze on my paper beads. I do 2 glazes and they just sparkle. I also like this shorter jar so I can work out of this instead of trying to work out of the small mouth bottles. Good Work! The price was also reasonable."

Great Stuff

"I use this Triple Thick to cover labels on custom built fishing rods as an undercoat for the final wrap finish. It works great as it is self leveling and seals perfectly if allowed to cure as specified."

Q&A

Is it safe to use on dishes like mugs, plates? I have a mug and ceramic butter dish that has a few chips in it and would like to seal them. If not recommended, please suggest what would work...thanks so much
Hi Tori! Thanks for your question. You can use it on ceramics, mugs, etc. We would just recommend to not put it anywhere that would have direct contact with the mouth.
can i mix paint into the glaze
Hi, you can mix Americana into our Triple Thick. We would recommend running a test before committing to a full project based on ratios, color opacity, etc.
I got out my jar of Triple Thick to coat a collage paper covered dish, and it was super thick . . . too thick to spread, much thicker than the previous times I used this jar. Any suggestions?
Since Triple Thick is water-based, you can use a small amount of water to help thin it out. A little goes a long way!
can triple thick be thinned out with water.
Hi Dee! Since Triple Thick is water-based, you can thin it with water. Please note that a little water goes a long way.
Is it suitable for coating coasters will it take the heat of a hot drink
Hi, thank you for your question. Triple Thick Gloss Glaze is heat resistant. Let it cure completely first (at least 24 hours).
