Description

Introducing Triple Thick Gloss Glaze in a 3 pack!

This pack includes 3, 8oz jars of Triple Thick Gloss Glaze.

Triple Thick Gloss Glaze is a high gloss varnish that will deliver a diamond clear finish in just one coat. Made for use on hard art and craft surfaces, Triple Thick is non-toxic, water based, and creates a glass-like protective finish that intensifies the depth of colors beneath it - a great epoxy resin alternative. Triple Thick dries quickly and will not crack or yellow. Allow to cure for 24 hours to ensure durability. Weather resistant and water repellent for outdoor use. Heat resistant. Perfect for use on hard surfaces such as rocks, wood, paper mache, resin, MDF, polymer clay, Diamond Dotz™ and more. Triple Thick is a fan favorite among diamond painters sealing down the diamonds with a brilliant finish.

For best results: Use in temperatures above 60°F and humidity levels between 50-70%. Before coating with Triple Thick, be sure your project is dry and cured completely to avoid hazing or blurring. We do not recommend using Triple Thick Gloss Glaze on most canvas projects. Due to its weight, the varnish can cause the canvas to dip or bow. As an alternative, we recommend trying one of our DuraClear Varnishes for canvas projects. Not intended for contact with food.

Q&A

Can I use this gloss glaze on indoor wooden furniture that is painted with chalk paint?
Hi Tracy, thank you for your question! The Triple Thick Gloss Glaze can be used on pre-painted wood surfaces. We do want to note that if you are using it on a piece of furniture that gets heavy wear and tear, the results may vary.
Does triple thick hold up in hot temperatures?
Hi Mary Ann, thank you for your question. Our Triple Thick Gloss Glaze has good heat resistance. Let it cure completely (at least 24 hours). When exposed to hear there is no cracking, crazing, yellowing, or bubbling.
can a glazed piece be cured /dried in a low heat oventhank you
Hi Deirdre, thank you for your question! We would not recommend curing Triple Thick in a low heat oven since it is not a bakeable product. The dry time is approximately one-two hours, and the cure time is 24 hours.
Is there a good way to thin this out if it has gotten thicker since I used it last year?
Hi Marilyn, thank you for your question! You can thin it out with water. We would recommend using a small amount to start, and you can add more in small amounts if needed.
My glaze is thickening. What can I add to thin it slightly?
Hi HarrietAnn! Thanks for your question! DuraClear can be thinned down with water since it is water-based, but a little will go a long way. The more water added, the bigger the decrease in adhesion. DecoArt cannot guarantee the product will perform positively when the product is altered.
