Is the paint toxic to animals? I wanted to paint some set up element for an enclosure, but it needs to be non toxic

Crafter's Acrylic carries the AP seal approved product, meaning they are certified in a toxicological evaluation by a medical expert to contain no materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or injurious to humans, including children, or to cause acute or chronic health problems. DecoArt does not consider any of our current products to be food safe for people or pets, even with the AP seal on most of our products.
May I use Crafter’s Acrylic on an exterior Welcome sign… will be under the eave beside the front door?

Can I cover my paint with oil-based verathane?
