Project Ideas for 2025 Americana Acrylics- Special Edition

Project 1: Vintage Embroidery Inspired Wall Art
Inspired by 1950's Vogart embroidery patterns, create a group of adorable acrylic paintings to hang on any wall for a vintage vibe and cuteness overload. All you need is some embroidery hoops, fabric, and Americana Acrylics. Cut and place fabric into each hoop and paint the base color of Buttermilk. Allow to dry. Trace the templates onto each surface and then using a liner brush, paint on 2025 Special Edition colors in choppy lines to give the look of embroidery. Leave fabric edge or hot glue it to the inner hoop edge on the back. Add a ribbon of choice and hang in a group on the wall. Perfect for any room or decor.

Project 2: Painted Origami Garland
Making use of traditional origami paper folding, create these 3d shapes to paint and hang in groups to give a retro vibe to any space! These can be used to create handmade decor for any celebration or everyday decor. Create various sized shapes using origami folding techniques, glue together, and paint using 2025 Special Edition Americana Colors. Add painted wood beads for accents and use your choice of string to hang. Change up color palette to personalize.

Project 3: Folk-Inspired Upcycled Painted Tray
Do you have an old tray that needs some love? This is a perfect way to add some color and style to your space. Prep your wood tray with a light sanding and a basecoat of Titanium (Snow) White Americana Arcylics. Trace/draw the folk-inspired template onto your surface and get to painting using the Special Edition Americana Colors in any combo you like. I loved using Yuzu Yellow as a bright accent and the After Dark as a nice black alternative for outlining shapes! Once completed add a coat of DuraClear varnish to protect the tray's surface for heavy usage. Hang on the wall when not in use to double as unique wall art.
