Introducing: Stained Glass Acrylic Paints
Beautiful translucent paint colors to create faux stained glass on any transparent surface!
Stained Glass Acrylics are a new and exciting art material to use in your craft, art, and diy applications. Honor the traditional technique of stained glass while using accessible and creative materials! Create your own faux blown glass or stained glass looks on any upcycled, translucent surface or even use cuttable plastic sheets to create unique sculptural and functional decor.
How to use
Choose a surface and make sure it is clean and free of oil and dirt. Use a template to place on the opposite side of your surface to then trace the image with the leading. Get distinctive looks using the Black, Gold, or Silver leading. Allow leading to dry and then "flood" or lay each section of the leaded design with the Stained Glass colors using a palette knife, wooden skewer, paint brush, or writer tip. Pop any bubbles and allow to dry flat. If you are in a dusty room with a lot of air flow place a box over drying surface to keep from floating debris being stuck to your painted surface.
Fill upcycled glass with areas of color! Create custom colors by mixing on a palette before application or mix on the translucent surface (wet on wet) to get unique swirled color patterning.
Create plant stakes, dimensional shapes, or jewelry by painting on flexible translucent plastic sheets and cutting to desired shapes.
